Morocco is on track to surpass 100 corporate sustainability assessments per year, according to a global supply chain sustainability report by ratings firm EcoVadis. This rapid growth would place the country among the fastest-growing nations in Africa and the Middle East for such evaluations.  

The country's progress puts it alongside Egypt, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia as regional leaders in corporate sustainability assessments.

The report, which adjusts data for population and GDP, assesses countries based on factors beyond size and wealth, highlighting a gap in policy support for entrepreneurship within Morocco.


Analysts point to these ongoing policy gaps as the primary reason for Morocco's underperformance.
